Bilton Gala 2011 Report
With fantastic weather and record crowds events in the main arena got underway with the crowning of the King and Queen followed by Fancy Dress judging.
Carol and Philip Mellin attracted a huge crowd to the arena to see their sheepdog and duck display. fresh from staring in ITV1's "The Dales" Carol and Philip were a huge hit in Bilton. Top Stuntman Jez Avery also pulled the crowds in performing on Motor Bike, Mountain Bike and Honda Pilot Buggy. A fantistic display from Ben Potter with his Eagles and Vultures topped the best entertainment in the history of the gala.
Over 60 stands a mixture of trade and charity attended and there were fairground rides, animal displays, and entertainment galore.
Everything was preceded by the parade which was a huge success , floats, vintage vehicles, stilt walkers, bands, animals, vintage buses and much much more.
