Bilton Gala is now firmly established as the premier community event of the
year in the Harrogate area and celebrated its thirtieth anniversary in 2007,
being created to mark the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977.
The Gala takes place on the first Bank Holiday in May each year at Richard Taylor CofE Primary School on Bilton Lane and has now grown in size using the adjoining fields. The emphasis is on providing a family day out at a reasonable cost. The gala is non profit making and seeks to plough profits back into local community projects, charities and other worthy causes.
